BLUEBIRD

Bluebird

Bluebirds comprise the following species: Eastern Bluebird, Sialia sialis Western Bluebird, Sialia mexicana Mountain Bluebird, Sialia currucoides

Bluebirds are one of the few thrush genera in the Americas. Bothh male and female Bluebirds have blue, or blue and red, plumage, but the female Bluebird is a bit less brightly colored than the male Bluebird, but their patterns and sizes are similar similar.

Behavior Mountain Bluebird Western Bluebird

Bluebirds are territorial birds that can typically produce between two and four broods between March through August. The female Bluebird alone builds the nest and incubates the eggs. Nest predators of Bluebirds include snakes, cats and raccoons and competitors for cavities include the Common Starling, American Crow, and House Sparrow

Bluebird feeding habits

Bluebirds are insectivorous cavity nesters, prefering open grassland with scattered trees. Bluebirds can be attracted to platform bird feeders, filled with grubs of mealworms sold online. Bluebirds will also eat raisins soaked in water. In addition, in winter bluebirds may use heated birdbaths.

Besides Bluebirds, on this website, you can find the bird checklists of all countries of the world: Just go to http://www.birdlist.org/site/regions.htm. In many of them you can find the bird names in its native language as well. But there is much more. There are pictures of nature, great tools for conservation, information on national parks and other nature reserves, an on-line book on ecology and nature conservation, free software for downloading, technical reports for those who want it. In order to find your way through the 2000 interlinked web pages on nature and conservation, please go to the site map. On this page we help you find the way to the worldwide list of birds and the bird names in other languages.

This website is about birds, nature, conservation and the passion for nature. But before I continue, let me tell you a bit about myself.

World's largest and most comprehensive BIRDS AND NATURE website covers it all: 2000 pages on birds, nature, birdwatching, where to go birding, bird and nature picture, nature conservation, equipment, bird feeding, etc.

Mision of NATURE WORLDWIDE

The mission of the website is to contribute to the conservation of nature and to help secure the future of all birds and other species could survive in their natural environments by providing information about birds, protected areas, and nature across the Internet.

Integrated web domains

Currently we are working with a fulltime database manager in Bolivia, who scans the net for more information and continuously enters the data into our database. But the real challenge was on how to inform potential travelers to a country about the protected areas? Moreover, we have tons of really good information on nature and nature conservation. So we bought about 30 domains, each for  a different theme that we wanted to develop. The most important ones are:
